Join the California Oak Mortality Task Force (COMTF)

Any interested person may become a member of the Task Force by attending a COMTF meeting. There is no charge for membership.  COMTF members are welcome to sit on many of the committees, and are encouraged to participate in any of the general meetings or other activities that are sponsored by the Task Force.

For a comprehensive description of the entire Task Force, including the mission statement, goals and objectives, please see the COMTF Operating Guidelines .

Beyond the Executive Committee, The Task Force has a number of committees that focus on key issues facing homeowners, land use managers, researchers, educators and others as they learn more about this disease. To join one of the committees it is necessary only to participate in a committee meeting.  For more specific information, meeting minutes, and activities, please go to COMTF Committees.

The Task Force has several list serves, and you are welcome to subscribe to any one of them. The primary COMTF list serve currently has approximately 940 subscribers, and is used for disseminating information to the entire Task Force. Recent news coverage or press releases, current research trends, and the Monthly Newsletter are all items posted to the main COMTF list. The committee list servers give smaller groups the chance to distribute meeting schedules, minutes, and information on upcoming events.
